Volunteers will assist in preparing meals for clients. This includes chopping and peeling vegetables, labeling meal containers for storage, organizing, and other kitchen-related duties.

About the event
The St. Vincent de Paul Dinning Hall serves two hot, nutritious meals to homeless and low-income individuals in need Monday – Saturday and an evening meal on Sundays. Age requirements: Young Adults aged 13 - 15 may volunteer with a guardian. Young adults age 16+ may volunteer alone. Children 12 and under may not volunteer with Homeless Services.
Volunteers will be assigned to an area that will assist in providing our daily meal service.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and setting up of food items
Serving meals to eager clients
Prepare dish and silverware washing area
Wash dishes (automated industrial dishwasher!)
Clear tables and clean up spills
Sweep and mop floors
Reset tables for the next day’s use
Shift Times:
4:30 to 6:30pm
Dress Code:
Minimum of a short sleeve shirt, closed-toe shoes, and long pants. You will be required to wear a hairnet or you can bring your own hat.
10-12 volunteers needed.
